NIOS - National Institute of Open Schooling (Distance Learning Board) is one of the largest National Board of Secondary Education in India. The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) provides education to many students to all over the India. NIOS is the best education board in India that provides the facility to appearing in exams twice in a year – once in April and then in October for the students of Secondary Class (10th) and Sr. Secondary Class (12th).

NIOS Admission Eligibility Criteria -


1. Secondary or Class 10th: Students must have passed class 8 attested by Gazetted Officer and the minimum age of the candidate must be 14 years.

2. Higher Secondary or Class 12th: Students must have passed their class 10 from recognized boards/universities, and the minimum age of the candidate must be 15 years.

NIOS Admission Details:

Candidates who want to take admission in NIOS can fill up the admission form in online mode only and must register themselves. The registration of NIOS Admission can be done in any of the following acknowledgment:

  • 1. Students can visit the official website directly that is nios.ac.in to register them.
  • 2. Candidates can visit the nearest study or faculty center to register.
  • 3. Students can also visit the nearest NIOS Regional center to fill up the application form in online mode.
  • 4. Candidates can also make use of Common Service Centers which are under Govt. to register.

Once the candidate is registered, the NIOS Admission is valid for five years, and a student can take 9 or less than 9 chances to complete the course in NIOS Admission period.

Note:

1. Students must select 5 subjects with either one or two languages.

2. Minimum of five subjects and 2 additional subjects can also be taken.

3. The students are advised to select the subjects as per their plan of study and work.
